Blog Assignment 8/28/24

 Last year I was in conflict with my mother. I wanted to transfer out of private school, but my mom would not let me. We fought over this for weeks. During the couple of weeks we were fighting, we rarely talked. My mother saw how much I hated the school and finally gave in. One of the main reasons I wanted to transfer was because of the lack of diversity Marist had. Me and my mom now have realized Lakeside High School is a better fit. The school helped me find who I truly was, which I was not able to do at Marist. Since then, me and my mom’s relationship has gotten a lot better.

 Prompt Response: In 4th grade I was in my Black History program. I was very scared because I hate large crowds. I handled it by taking deep breathes and believing nobody was in the room.  Prompt Response: I find time to enjoy my day with a lot going on by using breathing exercises. This is one of the ways I like to cool down. Three specific things I like to do to enjoy small moments throughout my day are watch Netflix, eat, and go out and drive around. A good Netflix movie always hits especially at night time.
